In a recent post, we’ve shared a guide on how to apply for Shopee’s Affiliate Program. However, you’re booming social media platform may not be all it seems when you see the needed requirements. Despite the steady growth, you still need to reach a certain number to be able to participate/accepted to the program.
Since I’ve been rejected on my application, here’s a list of requirements needed to be part of Shopee’s Affiliate Program.
- Affiliate applicants must have at least 1,000 followers on the five (5) major social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Youtube, or Twitter.
- Affiliate applicants must have at least one (1) social media post in the last fourteen (14) days at the time of application review by the system to be considered active.
- Applicants’ social media links should be accessible (i.e. should be a working link when clicked “https://” in the link).
- Affiliate applicants cannot have multiple Shopee Affiliate Program profiles.
*Note: One (1) affiliate profile can have multiple social media links - Affiliate applicants must set at least one (1) of their linked social media accounts from Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Youtube, or Twitter to public.
- Affiliate applicants who are Shopee store owners (Shopee sellers) are not allowed to join the Shopee Affiliate Program. They may, instead, join Shopee’s Seller Affiliate Program here: https://seller-affiliate.shopee.ph/.
- Affiliate applicants must be a Filipino citizen or based in the Philippines.
These requirements were provided after failing to reach the 1,000 followers requirements last February 2023. Please be minded that this could change anytime depending on the company’s plan of action for their future.
