Globe Telecom has been awarded the Best Network Reliability Solution at the prestigious 5G Core Summit Awards 2024, recognizing the telco’s consistent stability and reliability in network infrastructure. The event, hosted by Informa Tech, took place in Dubai from September 10 to 11.
This award highlights Globe’s dedication to maintaining exceptional performance across the Philippines, with ongoing investments to ensure a dependable 5G network. Notably, by June 2024, Globe’s 5G outdoor coverage had reached 98.45% in the National Capital Region (NCR) and 94.19% in key cities in Visayas and Mindanao.
Globe’s pioneering deployment of 5G Standalone (SA) End-to-End (E2E) Network Slicing Function has further elevated its services, improving capabilities for video streaming, virtual reality, and IoT applications. Additionally, its robust 5G core network—supported by a four-layer architecture and distributed data centers—ensures resilience in disaster-prone areas, a key advantage in a country frequently affected by natural calamities.
Another major development is Globe’s integration of digital twin technology, which enables the company to predict and prevent network issues in real-time. This proactive approach allows for faster fault resolution and uninterrupted services.
Globe continues to collaborate with global partners to uphold network reliability standards, promising an enhanced customer experience across its growing user base.
