In recent news, Apple has disclosed a serious security flaw vulnerabilities to their major products namely the iPhones, iPads and Macs that might lead to attackers taking over for those devices.
The said issue was released last August 17, 2022 but has not received much attention. In an effort to spread this widely, the community has been continuously sharing details of these two reports in a more attention catching short posts.
To cut it short, what needs to be done according to the circulating posts by the community are as follows:
- For iPhones, update it with iOS 15.6.1
- For MacOS, update it to macOS 12.5.1 and lastly
- For iPads, update it to ipadOS 15.6.1
Though not really focal on other products, the circulating post also indicates the Series 3 to have on watchOS 8.7.1.
It is still unclear as of this writing how and when the vulnerability was actually discovered other than citing an anonymous researcher.
